Leaders Among Us: Greensboro Women

with Journalist Tina Firesheets

  • Cost

Join us for a Lunch and Learn in celebration of Women's History Month. Tina Firesheets, editor of 1808: Greensboro's Magazine, will share her thoughts about Greensboro's diverse women and their leadership, and about Greensboro as her adopted home. Firesheets was a local reporter for nearly 15 years, covering a range of beats, but her years as a feature writer were the most rewarding. In that time, she wrote a series called "Crossing Cultures," in which she explored the various celebrations and traditions of the many diverse people in Greensboro.

This event is made possible by the John Dortch Memorial Endowment, Greensboro Historical Museum, Inc., and Friends of the Greensboro Public Library. The Dortch Endowment was established in 1985 in memory of attorney John Dortch by the attorneys and staff of Smith Moore Leatherwood, to support an annual educational program.

Reservations are required and may be made with Mary Allen by email or 336-373-2982. Box lunches from Zoe's Kitchen may be purchased for $15 in advance. Copies of 27 Views of Greensboro, which includes an essay by the speaker, will also be available.
