Hispanic Heritage Month-Papel Picado and Hojalata (Tin) Art

  • CostFree
Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month and learn how to cut Papel Picado, the intricate cut-paper decorations seen at every fiesta. Also, design your own Mexican Hojalata Folk Art. Hojalata is the Spanish word for tin. This is a new series of programs designed for homeschool families to encourage cultural exploration through traditional art and craft activities. These programs will take place every 2nd and 4th Wednesday during the months of September, October, and  November. Come explore the Multicultural Resources available at the Glenwood Library.
