Multicultural Art for Homeschoolers at Glenwood Library

Spring Festival in China

  • CostFree

It's Spring Festival in China. Celebrate with folklore and all things dragon, a good luck symbol in China. Make a dragon puppet, a dragon mask, and a lantern. 2019 is the Year of the Pig, a symbol of wealth and prosperity. Spring Festival lasts from Chinese New Year on February 5, until 15 days later on February 19 or the Lantern Festival.

This is a series of programs designed for homeschool families to encourage cultural exploration through traditional art and craft activities. These programs will take place every 2nd and 4th Wednesday at 1:30 pm during the months of January, February, and  March. Come explore the Multicultural Resources available at the Glenwood Library.
