How to Complete New Hire Paperwork

This is Part II of the GTCC Payroll Mini-Certificate program.

Navigating new hire paperwork and requirements of reporting for new hires to the correct authorities can be overwhelming and tedious. In this class, participants will learn the requirements for properly completing Form I-9 as an employer, examples of how to complete the worksheets for Form W-4 and Form NC-4 for accurate income tax withholding, employee direct deposit forms, and the requirements for NC New Hire reporting. In addition, we will discuss various payroll service providers and solutions. This class is very useful for both employers and employees. Free and open to the public. Pre-registration is encouraged.
