Backyard Wildlife Poster Contest
Entries & Judging:
The contest is open to students in grades K-12. Students must draw a picture of a backyard wildlife habitat garden and include the following: food source(s), water source(s), cover, and places for animals to raise their young. A 8½ x 11 poster of the garden must be submitted along with an index card listing the following information: student’s name, address, phone number, school and grade, and a sentence stating that you - the student - personally drew the poster.
The poster must be hand-delivered to the Kathleen Clay Edwards Family Branch Library, 1420 Price Park Dr. on March 7, 2018 from 6 - 8 pm. Posters will only be accepted at the branch during this time frame.
Voting will take from 1 - 4 pm at the Earth Day Celebration on April 14, 2018 at the Kathleen Clay Library.
Only the first 25 posters for each school category - elementary, middle, and high school - will be entered in the contest.
First and second place prize winners will be chosen in each of the three school categories. Backyard wildlife habitat prizes will be provided by area businesses.
