On February 27, 1996, Pikachu and his friends made their grand debut to the world with the release of the original Pokémon games on the Nintendo Game Boy. Since then, Pokémon characters and games have taken the world by storm, delighting generations of children (and adults) in the challenge to “catch them all!”
Join us for a talk with Durham-based author Daniel Dockery about his 2022 book Monster Kids: How Pokémon Taught a Generation to Catch Them All. Please come dressed in your best Pokémon attire or cosplay! We will have Pokémon themed snacks!
Please contact Austin Craver for any questions. This event is free and registration is not required, but seating and snack availability may be limited.
