Candid Community Sites
The Greensboro Public Library is a Candid Community Partner (formerly known as the Funding Information Network, Foundation Center, and a Cooperating Collection of the Foundation Center). As a member of this nationwide network, we are able to provide free public access to Foundation Directory Online Professional and GuideStar Professional as well as a core collection of Candid's publications and a variety of supplementary materials and services for grant seekers.
Foundation Directory Online and GuideStar Pro are for in-library use only.
Foundation Directory Online Professional provides access to facts on grant makers and their funding activities worldwide. To pinpoint prospective funders, explore four comprehensive databases: Grant Makers, Companies, Grants, and 990s. With geographic search tools, you can zoom in on regional and local grant makers or grants by state, county, city, metro area, congressional district, and zip code. Choose from more than 1,100 indexed search terms or keyword searches.
NEW! Candid has made it easier to locate funding on one platform. The same individual grants information once found in Foundation Grants to Individuals will now be in Foundation Directory. To learn how to access accurate, up-to-date information on foundations that fund students, artists, researchers, and other individuals, see this article.
Candid Learning offers information and resources specifically designed to meet the needs of nonprofits worldwide in securing funding and operating effective organizations.
