The Hemphill Branch Library is located in southwest Greensboro on Vandalia Road near the intersection with S. Holden Road.
Hemphill offers a broad range of children's programming with a focus on early literacy, which includes storytimes for toddlers and preschoolers. In partnership with the Green Hill Center for North Carolina Art, the branch also hosts art programs for school-age children.
The Hemphill Branch offers 22 computers with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Internet access. The computers are available on a first-come, first-served basis. A library card is required for computer use. This branch also has a 3D printer. The cost to use the 3D printer is $0.20/gram with a $3 surcharge. This facility has meeting space with a seating capacity for 72 people.
