ESOL learning opportunities are available often. Check our calendar for class dates and times.   

Classes at Glenwood Library

You must schedule an orientation in order to register for the classes. Orientation lasts one hour. During this time, you will learn about the classes that the library offers, as well as other resources for learning English. The orientation also includes a short registration. Call the Glenwood Library at 336-297-5000 to schedule an orientation.

Introduction to English Class
Beginning learners will learn reading, writing, speaking, and listening.

English Literacy Class
Learn to strengthen and expand knowledge of complex sentence structure, organizing paragraphs, grammar, vocabulary, and oral skills.

Women’s Literacy Class
This is a class for women who want to learn reading, writing and listening. There are two levels: beginning and intermediate.

English Conversation Club
This intermediate class helps you put your English speaking skills into action.

Intermediate English Class
Improve your existing knowledge of English by strengthening your vocabulary, organizing paragraphs, and strengthening your pronunciation skills.

Advanced English Literacy
This advanced English class will improve communication styles, develop a higher level of reading comprehension, and expand on skills needed to obtain work or higher education.

ESOL Computer Lab
Come learn English using our computer lab; no experience is necessary. There will be a teacher to help you whenever needed.
