City of Greensboro Minority and Women Business Enterprise
It's the City's policy to ensure all businesses -- including those owned by minorities and women -- are afforded the maximum practicable opportunity to participate in the City’s contracting processes for commodities, construction and other professional services. The M/WBE Office is the driving force behind making this happen.
East Greensboro NOW
Eat Greensboro NOW is a Community Development Corporation that supports the East Greensboro community. Among other things, they provide one-on-one consulting, training classes, promotion, advising, and business fairs for new and established entrepreneurs in the area.
Elon University Small Business & Entrepreneurship Clinic
The Small Business & Entrepreneurship Clinic is a law office which provides business-related legal services to entrepreneurs and small business owners who would not otherwise be able to afford legal representation. Services provided by the clinic include, but are not limited to, choice of entity advising, organizational document drafting and review, contract review and drafting, employment and human resource advising, regulatory compliance and drafting financing documentation.
Greensboro Chamber of Commerce
The Chamber is dedicated to building relationships, building business, and building success for companies in the Greensboro area. GTCC Small Business Center

State Assistance
The Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina
The Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina (EDPNC), a partner of the NC Department of Commerce, is your access to an extensive network of experts who can help your business succeed. Everything you need to know from licenses, government contracting, business plans, tax information to marketing and access to capital. EDPNC Small Business Advisors are available to answer your questions from 8:30-4, Monday through Friday, by calling 1-800-228-8443 or via an online form.
North Carolina Department of the Secretary of State Corporations Division
The Corporations Division is responsible for the examination, custody and maintenance of the legal documents filed by more than 400,000 corporations, limited partnerships and limited liability companies. The duty of the Secretary of State is to ensure uniform compliance with the statutes governing the creation of these entities, record the information required to be kept as a public record, and provide that information to the public.
SBTDC
The Small Business and Technology Center (SBTDC) provides management counseling and educational services to small and mid-sized businesses. Most of services are free of charge, and all are confidential.
SCORE
SCORE NC Piedmont Triad is a team of volunteers with a variety of expertise to help entrepreneurs start a new business or grow an existing one. SCORE is part of a national network of small business mentors providing free resources and education that foster thriving communities.
Small Business Administration (SBA) in North Carolina
The SBA has many small business loan and assistance programs as well as special outreach efforts and initiatives to aid and inform small businesses. There are four district offices in NC as well as many partner organizations.
