Are you curious as to what botanical art and illustration is all about in the Carolinas? Do you want to learn how to reconnect with plants in the natural world around you through drawing? This class is an introduction to botanical art and includes a drawing activity depicting the native summer flora growing around the library.

Instruction includes fine tuning observation skills, working with live plants, and botanical drawing basics. Kathy Schermer-Gramm is a core instructor for the Botanical Art and Illustration Certification Program offered at the NC Botanical Garden at UNC. Supplies will be provided for the class.
