Join us at the Hemphill Branch Library to remember and celebrate the iconic artist and author Akira Toriyama, creator of the manga series Dragon Ball and artist behind the video game series Dragon Quest, who sadly passed away at the age of 68 on March 1, 2024.

Our program will feature an overview of his life and work, select clips from animated adaptations of his manga, and an opportunity for attendees to share reflections on what his work means to them.
