Friends of the Greensboro Public Library host author, freelance journalist, and comedian Jane Borden during its annual meeting. Borden's first memoir, I Totally Meant to do That, was called "affectionate" by Vanity Fair and New York Magazine deemed it "low brow brilliant." Her humorous writing has also appeared in The New York Times Magazine and Modern Bride, and on Saturday Night Live. As a comedian, she's appeared on Comedy Central and VH1, and performs at storytelling and stand-up shows. Borden was a staff editor at Time Out New York for seven years, covering comedy theater and health.
