Be a Slime Scientist at Kathleen Clay

  • CostFree

The "Be a Slime Scientist" program, inspired by the 4-H Sustainable Polymers curriculum, is designed for students in grades 3-5 to explore the fascinating world of polymers through hands-on experimentation.

Participants will learn about the science of slime, including its chemical properties and the role of polymers in everyday materials. Through guided activities, students will create their own slime, testing different formulas and ingredients to understand how they affect the slime's texture and behavior. The program emphasizes sustainability, encouraging students to consider the environmental impact of polymers and explore eco-friendly alternatives. By the end, participants will not only have a deeper understanding of science but also a greater appreciation for sustainable materials. This program is in partnership with Cooperative Extension, 4H.

Registration is required and space is limited. To register email Christine Barrick.
