Introduction: The Piedmont Triad Regional Council and Stormwater Smart work together to educate the public on the importance of protecting our local water resources.
This is an interactive program about water science where the experts are...bugs! That's right: dragonflies, mayflies, and other bugs who start their lives in the water know all kinds of secrets about South Buffalo Creek and other waterways in Greensboro. We'll learn all kinds of interesting things, like why creeks change color after it rains; who lives under rocks; what a "buffer zone" is for - and more! We'll read, play games, do some experiments, and even make some mud! This program offers take-home activities, including cool ideas for science projects you can do in your own neighborhood. Join us to learn more about the wonderful world of water (and bugs) - all around us!
