Join us for this 2000 film from Nigeria. The first half of the film is a retelling of the Othello story. Ngozi, a young elegant Igbo lady and Yinka a young man of Yoruba origin, meet and fall in love. Their eventual marriage soon develops problems fueled by rumors of extra-marital affairs, which destroy trust between a devoted Ngozi and a jealous Yinka. In the ensuing drama Yinka places her under the curse of “Magun,” a mysterious and fatal chastity control. The film is unrated and 110 minutes.
