It's "Give the Gift of Greensboro Day" in the Historical Museum Shop. Staff can help you create gift baskets filled with treats from the Gate City. Meet local vendors and shop at your leisure.

Peter Blum - Tinsmith
Peter Blum, a third generation tinsmith, began working with his grandfather and father at age 15 to learn this family trade. Their work is prevalent in the Moravian settlement at Old Salem. For many years, Peter has demonstrated his craft at the NC State Fair's Village of Yesteryear. The governor has presented Peter with The Order of the Long Leaf Pine. This master craftsman will demonstrate his talent and might share a story or two!
Betty Montgomery will assist Peter Blum and help young visitors craft a tin ornament to take home.

Kevin Reid - author of GREENSBORO
Kevin Reid, a Greensboro resident since age one, has shown in this new release from Arcadia Publishing that Greensboro has reinvented itself in recent decades. He uses 160 photos to illustrate our modern history, the first time Arcadia has used color images.

Sarah Chapman - Vida pour Tea
Sarah Chapman, local award winning tea blender uses organic tea bases - equal parts healthy and delicious. Sarah will be brewing, for your sampling, the custom loose leaf teas she has designed for the Museum Shop.

Carol is dedicated to using high quality ingredients in her own formulas that are carefully calculated to produce mild soaps. Other products from Mimi's include Goat's Milk Lotion, scrubs, balms, and an intense moisturizer. From Rockingham County, Carol is a retired school teacher, mother of three, and grandmother of seven who also finds time to keep chickens, sell eggs, and grow vegetables for market.

Tatia McMillion - Salt and Light Arts by Tatia

She found the art of stained glass in 2009 through a class at GTCC. She thoroughly enjoys turning the shiny sheets of glass into small wonders of color and reflection.

Foodie selections include the classic Boar and Castle sauce, Old Mill of Guilford products, locally made spice combinations, and local honey. Gorgeous local pottery and jewelry, other Greensboro-themed books, fun souvenir items, and local crafts are other possibilities.
