Wear your best costume and bring your best art to enjoy games, give-aways, art and costume contests.  Your graphic novel art can be submitted prior to July 23, and will be put on display in the library after the program. 

Local author and artist Ben Towle will present a brief program on "How to get a Graphic Novel Published" and lead a short art lesson on cartooning. Towle is a three-time Eisner-nominated cartoonist whose previous book, Amelia Earhart: This Broad Ocean (with Sarah Stewart Taylor), a graphic novel for young adults, was released by Disney/Hyperion Books in 2010. This event is for middle and high school teens.
