Many people with traditions of a Cherokee ancestor wish to document their lineage for a variety of purposes.  Presenter Anita Finger-Smith will introduce you to basic historical tribal enrollment protocol and the documentary evidence available to conduct Cherokee genealogical research.

Finger-Smith is the principal genealogist for Cherokee Genealogy Services, licensed by the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians. Additionally, she is a researcher focusing on Cherokee resources, manuscripts, methodology, and record analysis.
