In 1916, Theeb lives with his Bedouin tribe in a remote part of the Ottoman Empire. When his older brother has to escort a British officer across the desert, Theeb tags along for the adventure. This 2015 film from Jordan was an Academy Award nominee for Best Foreign Language Film and won awards at the Venice Film Festival and Las Palmas International Film Festival. It is directed by Naji Abu Nowar, unrated and 100 minutes.
