The Monterey International Pop Festival in 1967 ushered in a new era of rock n' roll and launched the careers of Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, and Otis Redding, as well as showcasing veteran performers such as Simon and Garfunkel, the Mamas and the Papas, The Who, Eric Clapton and others. A guest speaker will provide a presentation before the screening. This program is in partnership with UNCG's The 60's: Exploring the Limits.
