In the cold, dark Arctic north the Inuit people have many long winter days and spend them in creative pursuits inside their homes. One of these is ivory carvings. We will replicate that process with soap carvings. They also leave messages and tell stories with their Inukshuk sculptures.
This is a new series of programs designed for homeschool families to encourage cultural exploration through traditional art and craft activities. These programs will take place every 2nd and 4th Wednesday at 1:30 pm during the months of September, October, and November. Come explore the Multicultural Resources available at the Glenwood Library.
