Teen Stress Break: Origami Throwing Stars

Using paper lying around your work space to make Origami Throwing Stars. Beth, the McGirt-Horton Branch youth librarian, goes through the steps of folding notebook paper into four-pointed stars.

Many people have found that origami lessens their anxiety and helps them relax. It also improves hand-eye coordination, spatial visualization, and rejuvenates different parts of the brain (helping you study after your break).  For more projects, check out books about origami at your favorite branch.
