Join actress Karen Ceesay, known for her roles in The Walking Dead, Stranger Things, Black Lightning, and the movie Rings, as she talks to influential and intriguing guests over coffee.

Ericka Suzanne’s parents are Raymond "Masai" Hewitt and Elaine Brown, former Party chairperson, and the only woman in U.S. history to lead a paramilitary organization. They were both leading members of the Black Panther Party for Self Defense.

Ericka Suzanne’s autobiography, Black Panther Princess will be released by Amistad Press for HarperCollins in late 2021. Raised in Oakland in a communal setting, she moved to Beverly Hills with her mother for her formative years, giving Erika a unique perspective on systemic racism and racial identity. Ericka continues her parent’s legacy of service. She worked for several years in arts advocacy. She served as the director of public relations for the Tubman Museum in Georgia, curated exhibits in Ohio, and managed a studio for young artists with profound medical disabilities. Ericka currently works for a cable news network in Los Angeles. Black Panther Princess has been optioned by Lawrence Fishburn for a television series.

The video will be posted at 5 pm.  Join us on Greensboro Public Library's Facebook Page.
