Join us for a retrospective on the WWII B-1 U.S. Navy Band; a group of African American students primarily from NC A&T whose time in the service helped to integrate the Navy. Central Library’s Fanchonette Davis will discuss the history of the B1 Band and share members’ experiences, from their long-standing friendships to the relationships they built with music and their communities.
