National Journal Writing Month or NaJoWriMo happens in January, April, June, and October. To prepare for this event we are creating Faux Leather Journals to encourage us to keep up with writing in a journal for the summer months. Angie Thomas, author of The Hate U Give has a new book about journal writing, Finding Your Voice: A Guided Journal for Writing Your Truth.
Craft kits can be picked up at the Glenwood Branch Library for those who are registered for the program. Items needed are a brown paper grocery bag, recycled manila folder, scrap book pages for the end papers, glue, ruler, ink pad or acrylic paint, 2 tablespoons of hair conditioner, stapler, and copy paper for journal pages.
Register in advance and receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
