Resilience is our ability to bounce back. Without it we would be down for the count every time we ran into a problem. With all we have been through in the past year, it's your resilience that allows you to move forward and help you manage as stressful situations evolve. It helps you take care of yourself appropriately and look forward to a better future. Our capacity to thrive in life depends directly on our resilience.
This video series, featuring trauma specialist Molly Birkholm, shares her journey and brings in experts. You'll learn how all of our challenges—from everyday stresses to life-altering traumas—can bring wisdom and growth. In practice sessions, you'll experience the process of building the inner calm and clarity of mind that create greater resilience. With Ms. Birkholm's warm and optimistic demeanor, you'll feel her encouragement every step of the way as you move toward building your best and most fulfilling life.

GSO Learning Circles: Journeys Into Knowledge - This initiative provides free courses to the Greensboro community through the online learning program, Peer to Peer University. Course material will be presented in the form of a video, with a facilitator to provide assistance, but there will be no teacher teaching the course. Classes are based on peer learning, community, and equity for creative and sustainable learning communities. This project is funded through a grant from UNCG Communication Department to create resilient communities.
Does your organization want to start your own learning circle? The Greensboro Public Library is here to help. To find out more, contact Beth Sheffield.
