Spokes & Votes: Pedaling the Path to Democracy for All

Join us in and around the Greensboro History Museum for a family-friendly celebration of the revolutionary impact of the bicycle on women and women’s suffrage. 

Register for a cycling tour to discover local legacies of women’s struggle for voting rights:

  • 10 am - Part 1 to UNCG and Greensboro College departs from museum
  • 11:15 am - Part 2 to NC A&T and Bennett departs from museum

Tour registration through Bicycling in Greensboro is required

Have fun at the Spokes & Votes festival outside museum, 12-3 pm:

  • Bike safety rodeo for children and families
  • Bike- and voting-themed crafts and activities
  • Information tables on voter education and bike safety
  • Scoop Zone ice cream

No registration is required for the festival. All events are free.

This event is being organized by Bicycling in Greensboro, City of Greensboro Department of Transportation, Greensboro History Museum, UNCG School of Education, Safe Kids Guilford County and UNCG Special Collections and University Archives as part of the UNCG She Can, We Can campus collaborative and Greensboro History Museum’s Project Democracy 20/20 initiative.
