The practice of sewing a piece of fabric on another to form a quilt has been around for thousands of years. The modern American patchwork quilt, however, with its pieced-together fabric blocks, did not appear until the 18th century.
If you have ever thought about quilting, come to Central Library and join experienced quilters to explore the artform. Skilled quilters will be on hand to answer any questions and provide quilting demonstrations. This event is free and open to the general public.
Makerspace programs at Central Library enables the community to explore emerging technologies and foster a creative community of makers.
