Children, teens, and families are welcome to drop in for a Makerspace Hour each week at the Vance Chavis Branch Library.
This week, we are celebrating the start of a new school year with a slime party, while viewing the Vance Chavis Branch Library premiere of the Jim Gill Community Video Book! You can make your very own batch of slime with foam beads and food coloring while we watch the video book on our smartboard. Beautiful artwork submitted to the Vance Chavis Branch Library for Jim Gill's Community Video Book will also be on exhibit for all visitors to enjoy.
Want to see that video right away? You can view the music and fun at the Greensboro Public Library YouTube Channel.
Thank you to all the young artists who contributed to this project and to all of the mad scientists and creative geniuses who joined us for Makerspace Hour this summer! We will continue to offer Makerspace Hour this fall, stay tuned!
This program is ideal for ages 9 -17 years old. Younger children who might need assistance should be chaperoned by an adult. Please contact Kristen Mulvihill at 336-373-5838 for more information.
