After a careful selection process, Born a Crime by Trevor Noah has been chosen as the 2019 One City, One Book title. This memoir collects stories from Trevor Noah's life in South Africa. Born to a white father and a black mother, Trevor's very existence served as evidence of their union at a time when their relationship was punishable by up to 5 years in prison. Trevor uses humor and wit to bring his stories to life, even when they are hard to tell. Trevor is now the host of The Daily Show on Comedy Central and continues to perform as a stand-up comedian.
